Known as the "Unifying Voice for Advertising," the American Advertising Federation (AAF), headquartered in Washington, D.C., is the trade association that represents 50,000 professionals in the advertising industry. AAF's 130 corporate members are advertisers, agencies and media companies that comprise the nation's leading brands and corporations. AAF has a national network of 210 ad clubs, and connects the industry with an academic base through its 210 college chapters.

Wally Snyder, President and CEO
Wally serves as the AAF's chief spokesman. Wally also serves the industry as a board member of several national organizations, including The Ad Council, The AAF Foundation, the Advertising Educational Foundation, and the National Advertising Review Council, which oversees advertising self-regulation. During his career, Wally has written articles for several publications, including Advertising Age, Marketing and Media Decisions, The Journal of Advertising Research, Marketing and Communications, American Advertising magazine and Food and Drug Reports. Considered an industry expert, he has also appeared on national news programs on CNBC, CNN, and Fox News.

Prior to joining the AAF, Snyder was associate director for advertising practices at the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Consumer Protection, where he served as principal adviser to the FTC on advertising issues. Snyder also served as the FTC's liaison officer to the Food and Drug Administration and worked on a number of congressional proceedings involving the FTC.
